Sounds of the Unexpected are a jazz quintet from Norway that combine energetic live perfomances with a poignant sense of melody, mixing up a wide range of styles in the process; folk, balkan, ska, flamenco and more. Their second album, recorded live in a log cabin in the forests outside of Oslo, is out now on Batang Records.
